“ Papi's Cantina is a very cozy, small Mexican restaurant in Ucluelet. We immediately felt at home. We were thrilled with the delicious food. Everything is homemade, obviously without artificial ingredients. The guacamole and tacos are amazing. The cocktails are unbeatably delicious. The prices for food and drinks are very reasonable. The waiters are very attentive, friendly, and personable. We've eaten there three times so far, and the service has been perfect every time. Highly recommended. ”
“ Cute little restaurant in Ucluelet serving Mexican food. Food was delicious. Loved the homemade tortilla chips and guacamole .Had the 12 hour pork tacos. Delicious. Spicy margaritas hit the spot. Definitely a must try if visiting Ucluelet! ”
“ Lovely place, lovely people, lovely food! Had an excellent stop here after a few beers at the brewery. We recommend the ceviche and the al pastor tacos! ”
“ A great little Mexican place in the heart of town. Even though the place was BUSY and the staff were short that night, everyone did a great job taking care of us and for a small isolated town, the food was good! The atmosphere of the restaurant was lively and very busy- the menu was refined and thoughtful to include a limited amount of dishes that covered most bases. We ordered the tuna aguachile and pico to start. The tuna was really yummy however I would not consider it an aguachile and would consider it more of a ceviche as it was not in a broth and instead was piled onto a tostada. Regardless, the high acidity level make the dish delicious. And the pico was classic and yummy as well! We also ordered tacos- the cod, shrimp, and beef tacos as they were recommended by our server. They were all very good, but I could’ve used less cheese in the taco and to let the ingredients shine more- to me, the idea of tacos doesn’t come with lots of melted cheese inside- save that for a quesadilla and let the tacos stay fresh! Overall a great experience and their patio is pet friendly, though we did not bring our pups in with us for the meal. ”
“ Delicious and authentic! I could live off of their ceviche. The blankets on the patio are also a really nice touch and the homemade hibiscus ice-cream was delightful. ”
“ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Papi’s Cantina is hands down one of the best Mexican restaurants I’ve been toon the island! Even though it was packed and buzzing with energy, the staff managed to serve everyone quickly without compromising on quality. The food was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious — every bite tasted authentic. The service was friendly, attentive, and efficient, which made the busy atmosphere feel exciting rather than stressful. Highly recommend for anyone looking for great Mexican food and a fun, lively vibe! ”
“ This was such a fun place and perfect to bring your dog on the outdoor patio. The house margarita was delicious and all the food was fresh and tasty. Highly recommend! ”
